What Belongs on KnowYourGujarat.

Photographs should document legitimate public development and civic works across Gujarat, including:

Roads & Highways

National highways, state expressways, rural taluka roads, bridges, and bypasses.

Schools & Colleges

Government schools, model colleges, universities, and vocational institutes.

Hospitals & Health Centers

Primary health centers (PHC), community health centers (CHC), civil hospitals.

Water & Irrigation

Narmada canal grids, check dams, water treatment facilities, rural pipeline grids.

Clean Energy

Solar parks, wind energy farms, rooftop solar grids.

Urban & Public Facilities

Bus transit terminals, railway junctions, parks, community halls, civic centers.

What Is Strictly Prohibited.

Submissions containing any of the following are permanently rejected by our moderation engine:

Private Property

Private residential interiors, private vehicles, or non-civic commercial properties.

Unconsented Faces

Faces of individuals without explicit consent.

Violent / Explicit / Abusive / Political Propaganda

Violent, sexually explicit, abusive, or political propaganda content.

Duplicate Submissions

Duplicate photos submitted multiple times for the same location on the same day.

Digitally Altered / AI-Generated / Misleading

Digitally altered, AI-generated, or misleading photographs.

The Moderation Lifecycle.

How citizen photographs move through verification before public attachment:

Every photograph is inspected by human moderators within 12 to 24 hours. Once verified, the photo is permanently attached to the corresponding infrastructure milestone.

Place Information

Ensuring spatial attribution and contextual precision across all 33 districts.

Accurate Taluka & District Tagging

Every photo should be taken at the actual site of civic infrastructure. Ensure your submission is placed within the correct taluka and district boundary so local citizens can discover and audit it accurately.

Clear Landmark & Project Identification

Include identifiable infrastructure characteristics—such as school entrance signage, canal milestone markers, hospital nameplates, or highway route signboards—to aid swift moderator verification.

Reporting Issues

Community self-policing protects the registry from disinformation and privacy violations.
